The eSIM comparator that backs the experience, not the commissions
eSIMrat compares travel eSIM plans destination by destination: prices collected automatically, providers tested and verified, and the best experience put forward. Here is who is behind it, and how we work.

Who is behind eSIMrat?
I'm Rony. A travel obsessive, originally from Guadeloupe and based in Paris, I'm the person who builds and edits eSIMrat. For years, every departure came with the same ritual: hours spent hunting for the right plan, and that small knot of anxiety once I landed. Which SIM should I buy, at what price, and above all how do I avoid the overage charges that sting on the way home?
Then I discovered the eSIM. And because I'm the anxious type who wants THE right answer before leaving, I wanted to understand all of it: which providers are genuinely reliable, which ones block tethering or certain apps, which ones show a price that doesn't move at checkout. In short, everything that separates a relaxed trip from a nasty surprise.
I've had the chance to test a number of providers, and I keep testing them, so I can give you the best comparator I can build: options tested and verified, compared on real prices, so you leave with a clear head and your trip is as good as it can be.
The mascot, the rat, isn't there by accident. Resourceful, it digs through the small print, spots the billing traps and sniffs out the good deals. "Be the RAT" is the mindset of the site.

Prices collected, not copied out
The rates shown are collected automatically from each listed provider, and every page states the date of the last collection. No price typed in by hand, no price you can't verify.
Tested, verified, rated
What we put forward by default is the best experience: every partner is tested and verified, then rated on a real-world experience, ideally the cheapest among those that deliver it. And if price is all you care about, the filters give you the cheapest-first ranking in one click. No position is ever for sale.
Affiliate links, stated openly
Links to providers are affiliate links and flagged as such: if you buy through eSIMrat, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That revenue never feeds into our ratings or our rankings.
Content that is signed and sourced
Blog guides are signed, dated, and built on verified official sources (Apple, carriers, regulators). When the answer is "no", we write "no".
How we work
A pipeline collects the plans from the listed providers, normalises volumes and durations, converts prices into euros and works out the price per GB. The comparator then shows that data as it is, sorted, with the date it was collected.
The catalogue is not exhaustive: providers are added one at a time, after verification, and the list keeps growing. A page setting out the comparator's full methodology is coming soon.
