A regional plan covers several countries with a single eSIM profile: you cross borders without buying a new plan or switching networks. Plans for this area start at €3.28/GB and are ranked here by price per GB, the only metric that compares different data allowances honestly.

Each country also has its own local plans. For a single destination, a country plan is often cheaper than a regional one.

Asia: how much data should you plan for?

  • 1 GBLight use: maps, messaging, a few searches. Plenty for a weekend.
  • 5 GBTypical use: social media, photos, the odd stream. Ideal for a week.
  • 10 GB+Heavy use: video, tethering, remote work. For longer itineraries.

    Download your routes offline before you leave. The legs between two countries often run through poorly covered border areas.
