Best eSIM for Morocco in 2026: 6 providers compared
Morocco sits outside the EU roaming zone: without the right plan, every GB of roaming costs a fortune. A Morocco eSIM installs before you leave, activates when you land in Marrakech, Casablanca or Agadir, and you keep your usual SIM for calls.
We ran 6 providers through the same grid: price per GB, network used on the ground (Maroc Telecom, Orange Maroc or Inwi), coverage in the Atlas and the south, support, how simple the app and the activation are, and plan flexibility. The ranking first, then each offer in detail.

voilà eSIM: the best value eSIM for Morocco
The lowest price per GB in the comparison (€1.15/GB) on the Orange Maroc network, an eSIM that installs in two minutes and human support available 24/7. Esimzon does better on a 10 GB plan, but stops at 14 GB.
How we ranked these eSIMs
Each eSIM is scored on six criteria, weighted for Morocco. Price per GB and network coverage weigh the most: the country is expensive for every provider, and coverage drops fast once you leave the Tangier, Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech, Agadir corridor for the Atlas or the south. Scores are the editorial team's opinion, not an average of customer reviews.
- Price per GB25 %
Cost per gigabyte on each provider's cheapest plan, excluding one-off promotions.
- Network coverage25 %
Signal in the cities, on the coast, in the Atlas and on the southern tracks, not only in Marrakech.
- Reliability15 %
Connection stability, the partner carrier's standing and the provider's reputation.
- Support15 %
Channels available, opening hours, human or automated answers.
- Activation and app10 %
How easy the install is, how clear the app is, usage tracking.
- Plan flexibility10 %
Choice of data amounts and durations, top-ups, hotspot.
On these criteria, voilà eSIM comes out on top: the lowest price per GB in the comparison (€1.15/GB), the Orange Maroc network, a clear app and human support around the clock. Esimzon takes second place thanks to its cheap small plans.
Scores are the opinion of the eSIMrat editorial team, based on the criteria above, not customer reviews. eSIMrat earns a commission on links to its partners, which does not affect the ranking.

Each Morocco eSIM in detail
- 8.1/10

1. voilà eSIM
€1.15/GBOrange MarocData plans, 1 to 50 GBLowest price per GB, human support 24/7
voilà eSIM runs on Orange Maroc, the country's second network: good coverage of the cities and the whole tourist corridor, from Tangier to Agadir via Fez, Rabat and Marrakech, in 4G and in 5G in the big cities.
Pricing goes down to €1.15/GB, the lowest price per GB in this comparison, on the 50 GB plan. Plans run from 1 to 50 GB over 7, 15 or 30 days with no commitment, and tethering is included. The ESIMRAT code takes 5% off, see the promo codes page.
It is also the easiest offer to get started with: the eSIM installs in two minutes from an app that is easy to use, and human support answers 24/7, a real plus when your eSIM refuses to activate at 11 pm at Mohammed V airport. That value for money earns it first place.
Pros
- Lowest price per GB in the comparison (€1.15/GB)
- Easy-to-install eSIM, easy-to-use app
- Human support, 24/7, tethering included
Cons
- No unlimited plan
- Orange network, less extensive than Maroc Telecom in the Atlas and the south
- 7.3/10

2. Esimzon
€1.26/GBOrange MarocData plans, 1 to 14 GBCheapest on a 10 GB plan
Esimzon is a prepaid reseller that competes on price: on a 10 GB plan it beats voilà eSIM, and its lowest price per GB sits at €1.26/GB. The network is the same, Orange Maroc, with the same coverage of the cities and the coast.
The limits lie elsewhere. The catalogue caps at 14 GB, which rules out heavy users, prices are shown in dollars on its site (the euro follows the daily rate) and support is by email or chat, in English. Activation goes through a QR code, without an app as polished as the leaders'.
Pros
- Cheapest in the comparison on 10 GB
- Orange Maroc network, same as voilà eSIM
Cons
- Capped at 14 GB
- Prices in dollars, English support by email or chat
- No unlimited
- 7.2/10

3. Yesim
€1.30/GBLocal networksDaily, data and unlimited plansReusable eSIM, daily plans
Yesim, a Swiss provider, has the widest range: daily plans, classic data plans up to 30 GB and an unlimited option. The best price per GB drops to €1.30/GB, in the middle of the comparison.
The eSIM can be reused from one trip to the next, which saves a new install every time you leave. On the other hand, Yesim does not name the Moroccan carrier before purchase, and support is chat only.
Pros
- Reusable eSIM across several trips
- Daily plans and unlimited available
Cons
- Moroccan carrier not named before purchase
- Mid-range price per GB
- 7.1/10

4. Airalo
€1.90/GBOrange MarocData, regional and global plansFull-featured app, multi-country plans
Airalo, the market pioneer, states the carrier on every plan: in Morocco, it is Orange. Its Morocco offer starts at €1.90/GB per GB, well above the top two in the ranking, and unlimited is billed per day.
Its strength remains the app, the most complete in the comparison, with top-ups and usage tracking, and a catalogue of 200+ destinations that is handy if you chain Morocco, Spain and Portugal. Support, in English, can be slow.
Pros
- Full-featured app with built-in top-ups
- Regional and global plans for a multi-country trip
Cons
- Much higher price per GB
- English support, sometimes slow
- 7.0/10

5. Ubigi
€1.80/GBLocal networksData plans, one-off or monthlyNTT group, prices in euros, in-app top-ups
Ubigi belongs to Transatel, a subsidiary of the NTT group, a sign of seriousness. Prices are shown in euros, top-ups happen in the app and it sells one-off plans, monthly plans and an unlimited option. In Morocco, the best price per GB sits at €1.80/GB.
For this country, Ubigi does not name the carrier before purchase and its pricing stays in the upper half of the ranking. Support is by ticket, in English and French.
Pros
- NTT group subsidiary, prices in euros
- Top-ups and monthly plans in the app
Cons
- Upper-half price per GB
- Moroccan carrier not named before purchase
- 6.7/10

- 24/7 chat
Cons
- Highest price per GB in the comparison
- A single plan for Morocco
- Carrier not named before purchase

eSIM or local SIM card in Morocco?
An eSIM connects you as you land, with no queue at the counter and no ID to show. A local SIM from Maroc Telecom or Inwi costs less per GB once you are there, but it requires mandatory registration, top-ups in dirhams, and it pushes your usual SIM out of the phone if you only have one slot. We go through both options, top-ups and coverage included, in our article on internet in Morocco.
Our rule: eSIM for a stay under three weeks on the tourist corridor, a Maroc Telecom local SIM for a long stay or a trek in the Atlas and the south. And if Tunisia is next, the same comparison exists for the best eSIM for Tunisia.
What to check on your phone before buying
Two conditions: an eSIM-compatible phone that is carrier-unlocked. iPhones from the XR onwards, Pixels, Galaxy S and other recent models qualify; the full list is on our eSIM-compatible phones page. A phone bought subsidised from a carrier may still be locked: ask for the unlock before you leave.
Once the eSIM is installed, keep your home SIM active for calls and texts, turn off its data roaming, and turn on the Morocco eSIM's roaming when you land. Every plan in the Morocco comparator is sold by a provider that shows compatibility before purchase.
The comparison in video
The three minutes below walk through the ranking on screen: each provider's price per GB, the network it runs on in Morocco, and which plan to take depending on how long you stay. Watch it here or straight on our Morocco eSIM comparison on YouTube.
The verdict matches the one above: voilà eSIM leads on value for money, with an eSIM that is simple to install, an app that is easy to use and human support reachable 24/7. The prices shown on screen date from the recording; the ones in the Morocco comparator are refreshed at every build.
