How to use the Esimatic promo code
Three steps, at the time of payment. At Esimatic, payment is processed through a Stripe page where the promo code field is accessible without creating an account, located just below the order summary.
- 1Choose your planData plans, from 1 GB to 100 GB, or Day Plans from 1 to 30 days: the plan type sets the price. Then, click on the payment button.
- 2Open the code fieldOn the Stripe payment page, click on "Add promotion code" under the summary. No account is required.
- 3Apply ESIMRAT and check the totalEnter ESIMRAT, validate, and watch the "20% off" line appear and the total decrease before paying.
The rat's advice: the checkout page lets you choose between euros and dollars. When paying in euros, Stripe applies its own exchange rate, which is slightly more expensive than the daily rate. If your card doesn't charge foreign transaction fees, paying in dollars is cheaper: in our test cart, $7.92 is approximately €6.89 at the ECB rate, compared to €7.23 when paying in euros.
The Esimatic promo code that works in September 2026
A single code, and we put it through the cart on September 24, 2026: ESIMRAT takes 20% off the order, reserved for new customers. Esimatic created it for eSIMrat readers through its partner program on September 23, 2026, offering a higher discount than the 15% shown on other coupon sites.
The second code in the table is there for demonstration purposes: ESIMATIC50, the kind of 50% discount code you find on aggregators, was rejected by the cart with the message "This code is invalid". At the time of payment, only one code works.

ESIMRATeSIMrat code, new customers-20%ESIMATIC50Seen on aggregatorsRejectedTest conducted on the 5 GB Japan 30-day plan, without an account and without payment. A code rejected by the cart is indicated as such: it is the only valid proof.
The code is entered after choosing your plan, never before: it is the data volume and duration that determine the price, with the discount applied on top. And only one code per order: the field only accepts one at a time.
The Esimatic promo code, tested in a real cart
We didn't copy the code from another site. On September 24, 2026, we opened the Esimatic Japan page, chose the 5 GB for 30 days plan displayed at $9.90, and went all the way to the payment page, without an account and without paying anything.
On the Stripe page, the "Add promotion code" link opens the field. Once you enter the code and press Enter, the line ESIMRAT, 20% off appears with a -€1.81. The subtotal of €9.04 drops to €7.23. In dollars, the same cart goes from $9.90 to $7.92.
The "new customers" restriction comes from Esimatic: Stripe checks it using the email address at the time of payment. If you have already ordered from them using the same address, the code may be refused at this step.
This test is what it is: a dated measurement. A provider can deactivate a code overnight without warning anyone. The date is displayed on this page so you know when the last check was performed, and we redo it regularly.
What 20% saves you on the Esimatic grid
A percentage discount is proportional to the price. Here is what 20% represents on the Esimatic Japanese pricing grid, the destination we use as a benchmark throughout the site.
What 20% saves, Esimatic Japan grid
Prices from our catalog, continuously updated by the Esimatic shop, in dollars as the store shows them. The discount follows the price: the bigger the plan, the more it weighs.
At 20%, the discount really counts: from $1.98 on the 5 GB plan to $12.00 on the 50 GB one. Picking the right plan is still the first saving, and our data usage calculator tells you how many gigabytes to plan for before the code comes into play.
Esimatic, what you're actually buying
Esimatic is a travel eSIM brand offering over 200 destinations. Our catalog includes 189 countries and 16 regional plans. In Japan, the eSIM works on the country's four networks, NTT Docomo, SoftBank, KDDI and Rakuten Mobile, via 4G.
Two plans coexist. The data plan ranges from 1 GB for 7 days to 100 GB for 30 days. The Day Plan, sold as unlimited, actually provides 1 GB of high-speed data per day, then approximately 1.25 Mbps until the next day. The eSIM can be topped up without a new QR code and only activates upon your first connection on-site.
Purchasing, tracking usage, and recharging are done through the website or via the Esimatic app on iOS and Android, and support responds via chat. Two caveats: prices are set in dollars, and refunds only cover technical issues, not an incompatible phone. Check eSIM compatibility before paying.
To put these plans in perspective with others, our Japan comparator ranks them by price per gigabyte, and our review of Esimatic details the rest.
Fake Esimatic promo codes and how to spot them
On the search query "Esimatic promo code", some websites publish lists of 15% or 50% discount codes without ever showing a cart where they can be applied. These lists capture the click, and the only truly active code is often the one from the site publishing them.
A 50% discount valid across an entire eSIM catalog remains very unlikely: industry margins rarely allow for it. Beware of any promise at this level.
The solution is simple: enter the code on the checkout page and watch the total. If it doesn't change, the code is dead, regardless of the promise displayed next to it. At Esimatic, the test only takes a few seconds since no account is required.

Frequently asked questions
ESIMRAT gives you 20% off your first Esimatic order. Enter it on the checkout page, in the "Add promotion code" field, without needing to create an account.
20% of the order amount. On the Japan grid, that ranges from $1.98 on the 5 GB 30-day plan to $12.00 on the 50 GB 30-day plan. Tested on September 24, 2026: $9.90 brought down to $7.92.
Three frequent causes. You have already ordered from Esimatic using the same email address, even though the code is reserved for new customers. Another code is already in the field, and only one can be used per order. Or the code was copied incorrectly. Always check the total before paying.
No. Payment is processed through a Stripe page that only requires an email address, where the QR code will be sent. The promo code field is accessible even before entering your email.
The code applies to the order, regardless of the plan. Useful reminder: Day Plans sold as unlimited provide 1 GB of high-speed data per day, then approximately 1.25 Mbps until the next day.
Only in the event of a technical problem, through customer support. Esimatic does not refund accidental purchases or phones that are not eSIM compatible: check compatibility before paying.
Here: ESIMRAT, 20% for new customers, created by Esimatic for eSIMrat on September 23, 2026 and tested in a real cart on September 24, 2026.
In our opinion, Esimatic scores 3.9 out of 5: wide coverage, an app to manage the eSIM, and top-ups without a new QR code, but prices are in dollars, Day Plans are limited to 1 GB per day, and refunds are limited to technical issues.
