Our marks, criterion by criterion
Price per GB
3.9Mid-range in our comparison on fixed bundles: in France, 5 GB over 7 days for €5.46, 20 GB over 30 days for €16.83, 50 GB for €36.26. Daily plans start at €1.73 a day for 1 GB. The euro price is the dollar price converted at Billion Connect's own rate (0.90 on 14 Sep 2026, against 0.85 on the market).
Coverage
4.264 countries in the esimrat catalogue, plus 32 multi-country blocks (Europe up to 41 countries, Asia, Americas, Africa, Gulf, worldwide 87 countries). Strong point: China, with mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan as separate or grouped plans. In France, the SFR network in 4G/5G.
App
4.0BC eSIM app on iOS and Android: purchase, install guide, QR code found again under "My Order", usage tracking under "My Data". A 2026 Trustpilot review praises the simplicity compared with a physical SIM.
Support
3.9Customer service 24/7 by chat, on the site and in the app. No phone line; the WhatsApp shown on the site is for business partners, on weekdays. On Trustpilot, a traveller in Turkey describes an issue fixed by support in September 2026.
Transparency
3.4Each product page spells out the model: X GB a day at full speed, then 128 or 384 kbps. But eSIM orders are non-refundable, even when not activated (only physical SIM cards are), and the in-house exchange rate adds about 6% to the euro price compared with the market.
Flexibility
4.3Daily from 1 to 90 days (1, 2 or 3 GB a day, or unlimited), fixed from 1 GB over 3 days to 100 GB over a year, 90 days after purchase to activate, tethering included. No top-up on an eSIM: you buy a new plan.
Technical note
An overview of Billion Connect's performance across 6 criteria
How we score
This score is eSIMrat's own, not an average of customer reviews. It covers six criteria we assess ourselves from the catalogue's real coverage, the prices we record, and test purchases and installs. We earn a commission on sales made through our links: it changes neither the score nor the order of our rankings, which stay sorted by price per GB.
The eSIMrat verdict
Billion Connect is a Hong Kong player founded in 2015 that claims 43 million users, with an especially deep China range (mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, alone or grouped) and prices shown in euros. On our side, 64 countries and 32 multi-country blocks. Its flagship model is the daily plan: 1, 2 or 3 GB a day at full speed, then 128 or 384 kbps until the next day, from 1 to 90 days. Fixed bundles (5 GB over 7 days in France for €5.46, 20 GB over 30 days for €16.83) sit mid-range in our comparison. Two things to know before buying: eSIM orders are non-refundable, even when not activated, and the euro price is converted at the in-house rate, about 6% above the market.
Good for
- Trips to China, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan, with TikTok, ChatGPT and Gemini advertised as working on the China plans
- Stays of an exact length, billed per day from 1 to 90 days
- Travellers who want to pay in euros with tethering included
Less suited if
- You compare on price per GB for a month-long stay (→ Roamify)
- You want unlimited without a daily cap (→ Holafly)
- You want excellent value per GB with an eSIM that is simple to install, an easy-to-use app and human support 24/7 (→ voilà eSIM)
- You want a refund on an unused eSIM to be possible (→ Nomad, Yesim)
Pros and cons
Pros
- Very complete China range: mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, alone or grouped
- Duration to the day, from 1 to 90 days
- Prices shown in euros, 90 days after purchase to activate
- Customer service 24/7 by chat
- Tethering included
Cons
- eSIM orders non-refundable, even when not activated
- Euro prices converted at the in-house rate, about 6% above the market
- After the day's quota, 128 or 384 kbps: enough to read messages, not more
- No top-up on an eSIM, no phone number
- A QR code installs once: eSIM deleted, plan lost
Billion Connect price list: sample prices
Prices vary by destination. Here is an overview for the most requested countries.
Prices checked in September 2026. Check live rates on the comparator.
How to install your eSIM with Billion Connect
Buy your plan
Buy on billionconnect.net or in the BC eSIM app (iOS and Android). The QR code and the manual install codes are under "My Order", then "eSIM Instruction".
Pick your destination
Choose your destination and your data plan.
Scan the QR code
Pay and scan the QR code to install the eSIM.
Get connected
Install the eSIM over good Wi-Fi, before departure or on arrival, but keep it disabled until you reach your destination: the plan starts automatically as soon as the eSIM connects there, and you have 90 days after purchase to activate it. On site, turn off your usual SIM, enable the BC line and its data roaming, then wait one to three minutes.
If something goes wrong
Check that your phone is eSIM-compatible (dial *#06#: an EID must show) and unlocked, then retry over stable Wi-Fi: the "Unable to Complete Cellular Plan Change" message means a network problem during installation. Otherwise, the chat on the site or in the app answers 24/7.
Turn on data roaming on the BC line, turn off the other SIM and wait one to three minutes: on first attach, the phone may show "No service" or switch carriers. If the line is attached without internet, enter the APN by hand (given in the help centre) or pick the network manually.
Look at per-app usage in your phone's settings to spot the hungry apps. Turn off automatic updates and high-resolution video playback. Your remaining data shows in your Billion Connect account, or in its app when there is one.
Open "My Order" on the site or in the BC eSIM app, then "eSIM Instruction": the QR code and the manual codes are there. Careful, a QR code installs only once and the eSIM cannot move from one phone to another: deleted, it is lost.
What users say
Reviews synthesised from the App Store, Google Play and online feedback. We do not republish reviews word for word: we summarise the trend.
- ★★★★★Trustpilot
Two eSIMs for over three weeks in Turkey: a small issue fixed by support, and a signal judged excellent thanks to switching between networks.
- ★★★★★Trustpilot
Full-time travellers, customers for two years, find the connection reliable all over the world.
- ★★★☆☆Trustpilot
A seafarer hopping between countries buys daily "unlimited" plans and points out they are still capped: 2 GB a day in India and Pakistan.
- ★★☆☆☆Trustpilot
Ten days of "unlimited" in the United States judged unreliable: speed drops, patchy 5G, and ChatGPT or TikTok blocked because of how the data is routed.

Frequently asked questions
In France, Billion Connect sells 5 GB over 7 days for €5.46, 10 GB over 15 days for €9.26 and 20 GB over 30 days for €16.83. Daily, 1 GB a day costs €1.73 for one day and €5.40 for seven days: beyond a week, the fixed bundle works out cheaper.
Yes, every product page states "Hotspot Sharing: Support". The shared speed follows the plan's: full until the day's quota, then 128 or 384 kbps.
An eSIM works on most smartphones released after 2019: iPhone XS and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, Google Pixel 3 and later. Your phone must be carrier-unlocked. Our eSIM-compatible phones page lists the models.
Yes. Most recent smartphones handle a physical SIM (calls, texts, your number) and an eSIM from Billion Connect (mobile data) side by side. You keep your usual number and use the eSIM for the Internet.
Not for an eSIM: Billion Connect's FAQ lists eSIM orders as non-refundable, including when the eSIM was deleted by mistake or the phone turned out incompatible. Only physical SIM cards neither activated nor shipped are refunded, request through the chat, answer within 2 to 3 working days.
On the China plans, the product page lists the apps advertised as working: TikTok, ChatGPT and Gemini on iPhone, ChatGPT and Gemini on Android. Outside China, a Trustpilot review from August 2025 reported ChatGPT and TikTok blocked on a United States plan because of how the data is routed: check your plan's page before buying.
Not on an eSIM: the help centre states that eSIM plans cannot be topped up. You buy a new plan, which can be installed while the old one is still running.
