Technical note
An overview of Esimzon's performance across 6 criteria
How we score
This score is eSIMrat's own, not an average of customer reviews. It covers six criteria we assess ourselves from the catalogue's real coverage, the prices we record, and test purchases and installs. We earn a commission on sales made through our links: it changes neither the score nor the order of our rankings, which stay sorted by price per GB.
The eSIMrat verdict
Esimzon competes on price. In France, Spain, the United States or Japan, its volume grid is among the lowest on the comparator, with the carrier named plan by plan (Bouygues, Movistar, AT&T, NTT Docomo). The catch: everything is set in dollars, so your euro total moves with the rate and your bank may add fees. If you want the lowest price and paying in a foreign currency does not bother you, it is a good pick. If you need more than 30 days or a lenient refund policy, look elsewhere.
Good for
- Travellers hunting the lowest price per GB
- Trips of 1 to 30 days in Europe, the US or Asia
- Heavy users: daily unlimited or 300 GB
- People who want to know which network they get before buying
Less suited if
- You want to pay in euros, at a fixed price (→ Saily)
- You are away more than 30 days (→ Roamify, up to 365 days)
- You want an eSIM that is simple to install and an easy app, excellent value in euros and human support 24/7 (→ voilà eSIM)
- You want to be able to change your mind after buying (→ Sim Local, no-questions refund)
Pros and cons
Pros

- Local carrier named on every plan
- Daily unlimited and very large volumes (300 GB)

- ESIMRAT code, -10%, tested in a real basket
Cons
- Prices set in dollars: variable euro total, possible bank fees
- 30 days maximum per plan

- No calls or texts
- Only 31 Trustpilot reviews: little track record

How to install your eSIM with Esimzon
Buy your plan
Buy on esimzon.com or in the Esimzon app (iOS, Android). The QR code arrives by email within seconds.
Pick your destination
Choose your destination and your data plan.
Scan the QR code
Pay and scan the QR code to install the eSIM.
Get connected
Turn the connection on when you land. That's it.
If something goes wrong
Check that your phone is eSIM-compatible and unlocked, and that you have a stable Internet connection during setup. If the QR fails, enter the SM-DP+ address and activation code manually. Then the live chat or support@esimzon.com, 24/7.
Turn Airplane mode on and off again. Check that the eSIM from Esimzon is selected for mobile data in your settings. Turn data roaming on. Restart the phone. If nothing changes, switch network selection to manual and pick another operator.
Look at per-app usage in your phone's settings to spot the hungry apps. Turn off automatic updates and high-resolution video playback. Your remaining data shows in your Esimzon account, or in its app when there is one.
Check your spam folder: Esimzon emails the QR code right after payment. It is also under "My eSIMs" in your account and in the app. Otherwise, the live chat or support@esimzon.com.
What users say
Reviews synthesised from the App Store, Google Play and online feedback. We do not republish reviews word for word: we summarise the trend.
- ★★★★★Trustpilot
eSIM used in Egypt without a hitch. Support answered with real people, not automated replies.
- ★★★★★Trustpilot
Fast speeds, an unlimited plan that stayed steady throughout, quick customer service.
- ★☆☆☆☆Trustpilot
A 30-day plan cut off after 15 days, twice in a row. Doubts over how the validity is counted.

Frequently asked questions
For a week in France with classic use (maps, messaging, social media), 5 GB is enough: at Esimzon that is 3.87 € for 5 GB over 30 days on Bouygues. For streaming or tethering, 10 GB costs 5.68 €.
Esimzon does not state it on the plan page. Customers report getting it working after contacting support: ask on the chat before buying if you plan to connect a laptop.
An eSIM works on most smartphones released after 2019: iPhone XS and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, Google Pixel 3 and later. Your phone must be carrier-unlocked. Our eSIM-compatible phones page lists the models.
Yes. Most recent smartphones handle a physical SIM (calls, texts, your number) and an eSIM from Esimzon (mobile data) side by side. You keep your usual number and use the eSIM for the Internet.
Only if the eSIM never connected (technical issue on their side, compatible and unlocked phone), minus an admin fee, within 4 to 5 days. A change of mind is not refundable. Request it by email at support@esimzon.com with screenshots.
Esimzon sells data only on local networks (Bouygues, SFR, Movistar, AT&T, NTT Docomo depending on the country) and advertises no app filtering.
Yes, from your Esimzon account or the website, without reinstalling a profile. Each plan stays capped at 30 days: beyond that you buy a new one.
