Our marks, criterion by criterion

  • Price per GB

    4.0

For France, 20 GB over 30 days costs $11.35, about €0.49 per GB: fair, but the comparator goes far lower on the same destination.

  • Coverage

    4.1

200+ destinations advertised, 5G wherever the local network offers it. Without a product feed, coverage cannot be checked country by country in our comparator.

  • App

    3.9

Yaalo app on iOS and Android, QR code emailed right after purchase, saved profiles to top up before you leave.

  • Support

    4.2

Support advertised 24/7 over WhatsApp, live chat and email.

  • Transparency

    3.4

Everything is billed in dollars, French pages included, and no refund is given for an incompatible phone. No Trustpilot review as of 11 September 2026.

  • Flexibility

    4.3

From 1 to 100 GB, 1 to 90 days, daily unlimited options and unrestricted tethering.

How we score

This score is eSIMrat's own, not an average of customer reviews. It covers six criteria we assess ourselves from the catalogue's real coverage, the prices we record, and test purchases and installs. We earn a commission on sales made through our links: it changes neither the score nor the order of our rankings, which stay sorted by price per GB.

The eSIMrat verdict

Yaalo is a data-only eSIM that plays the breadth card: 200+ destinations advertised, plans from 1 to 100 GB, daily unlimited options and support reachable around the clock. Its prices are fair without being the lowest, and they are set in dollars: your bank decides the final price in euros.

Yaalo publishes no product feed, so its plans do not appear in our per-destination rankings: the prices on this page were read by hand on yaalo.com. Before buying, compare the price per GB for your destination on the comparator.

Good for

  • Heavy users (plans up to 100 GB, daily unlimited)
  • Travellers who pay in dollars without exchange fees
  • Anyone who wants unrestricted tethering
  • Long stays (up to 90 days on a single plan)

Less suited if

  • You want the lowest price per GB on your destination (→ Roamify, Esimzon)
  • You want to pay in euros, at the displayed price (→ Saily, Roamify)
  • You need native calls or texts (→ Sim Local, Yesim)
  • You want excellent value for money, an eSIM that is simple to install with an easy-to-use app, and human support 24/7 (→ voilà eSIM)

Pros and cons

Pros

  • 200+ destinations advertised, 5G when the local network offers it
  • Plans from 1 to 100 GB, 1 to 90 days, plus daily unlimited
  • Unrestricted tethering, advertised on every plan
  • 24/7 support over WhatsApp, chat and email
  • Top-up from the app or the site, profiles saved from one trip to the next

Cons

  • Dollar pricing everywhere, possible exchange fees depending on your bank
  • Data only: no native calls or texts
  • No refund if your phone is not compatible
  • No product feed: its plans are absent from our per-destination rankings

How to install your eSIM with Yaalo

  1. Buy your plan

Buy your plan on yaalo.com or in the Yaalo app (iOS or Android). The QR code lands in your inbox as soon as you pay.

  2. Pick your destination

Choose your destination and your data plan.

  3. Scan the QR code

Pay and scan the QR code to install the eSIM.

  4. Get connected

Turn the connection on when you land. That's it.

If something goes wrong

Check that your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked, with a stable internet connection during install. Yaalo also accepts manual entry of the details instead of the QR code. If the problem persists, Yaalo support answers 24/7 over WhatsApp, chat or email.

Turn Airplane mode on and off again. Check that the eSIM from Yaalo is selected for mobile data in your settings. Turn data roaming on. Restart the phone. If nothing changes, switch network selection to manual and pick another operator.

Look at per-app usage in your phone's settings to spot the hungry apps. Turn off automatic updates and high-resolution video playback. Your remaining data shows in your Yaalo account, or in its app when there is one.

Check your spam folder: Yaalo emails the QR code as soon as you pay. The profile is also available in the Yaalo app. Otherwise, ask support to resend it over WhatsApp or chat.
